Could your bar be the star in Between Weathers?

Jim Brown, director of Between Weathers, the major motion picture being shot in Shetland next spring is looking to find the perfect Shetland pub to feature in the movie.

If you think your local is unique, full of character and deserving of a starring role in one of the most exciting movie projects to be shot in Scotland for years we want to know about it!

Picture the scene; movie stars enjoying themselves at the bar in a movie that will be seen around the world!

Jim Brown: “I’m looking for a bar with a strong identity. Somewhere that’s been around for years, just like the characters that drink in it. We all know how famous the Pennan Inn became in Local Hero. Here’s a chance to do the same in Shetland!

All you have to do is email us at locations@betweenweathers.com and nominate your local. Feel free to include a couple of photographs and make sure you let us know exactly where it is. Our only criteria is that it is on the Shetland Isles!”

Whatever the reason for your nomination, get involved and tell us why your local pub deserves to be made famous. The more nominations we get the more likely we are to pay a visit to check the pub out.

Jim plans to check out venues on his next scouting trip and will then select the three most suitable locations that will be visited by the production team before the ultimate choice is made.

The deadline for nominations is Friday 8th October.
